Adorable Aprons

Healthy eating requires less dining out and more cooking at home.  Traditionally viewed as merely a way to cover up in the kitchen, avoiding stains and spills while cooking, aprons have transformed into pieces that look more like couture frocks meant to be worn out of the house than a disposable piece of old fabric. As you resolve to spend more time in the kitchen whipping up your favorite recipes, why not make a culinary fashion statement at the same time?

Over the last year, I resolved to spend less time in restaurants with typically overpriced and high-calorie options, and more time in my own kitchen creating once-overwhelming recipes. I’ve been successful from time to time and, if we’re being honest, I’ve failed miserably on more than one occasion. From experience, it’s my oh-so-cute and super chic apron that has made me feel powerful and able to tackle any challenge in the kitchen. A gift from my mother, it embodies me to a tee – with houndstooth print, pink and red, and dotted with sayings like “Who needs a man when you’ve got wine?”. So get creative and take some time hunting for the perfect kitchen cover-up – it will radically change your attitude in front of the stove.

Here are 10 of my favorite frilly aprons that will undoubtably make you the envy of everyone who comes over for dinner.

I simply love Creative Chic’s apron. They are so fashionable and stylish. They make the perfect gift or keep them for yourself and jazz up your cooking.

I agree!! I just got a really cute apron for Christmas (one from appetizing aprons) and I use it all the time now in the kitchen. I feel so sassy when I get to “dress” for cooking!
