Spring is here, and the heat is coming along with it. We at Cooking Light consume a crazy amount of carbonated water, especially in the warm months, and sometimes the pileup of cans just gets to be too much! Enter: The SodaStream. I’m pretty much obsessed with this product- I drink a lot of water working in the kitchen and fizzy water just makes getting my 8 cups a day in more fun! I simply fill the canister with cold water, place it into the SodaStream and ta-dah! Fizz! My immediate go-to is a squeeze of fresh lemon, but I thought it might be fun to come up with a few, fresh, no sugar added soda recipes to mix it up a bit.

Bubbly Iced Tea
I’ve recently moved to Alabama, and I’ve been introduced to the ways of the ‘koozie’. You know, the rubber cover that shields your hand from condensation and keeps your drink cold? This Bubbly Iced Tea will absolutely call for a koozie, and feel free to sweeten with natural sugars or add a squeeze of lemon, but be sure to enjoy by the pool. Koozie or not…
- 1 liter SodaStream carbonated water
- 6 tea bags (I used green tea)
- 2 cups hot water
- Combine hot water and tea bags. Let sit for 10 minutes and remove tea bags. Let tea cool to room temperature.
- In a glass with lots of ice, combine 2 parts tea to 3 parts carbonated water. Enjoy!
