It isn’t that I don’t love pumpkin-flavored foods. I do. I adore pumpkin bread. Pumpkin pie and I get along pretty well. I also like savory pumpkin dishes, like our Pumpkin-Red Pepper Soup.

It’s just that sometimes, I’m more into the spirit of fall and less into the flavors. That’s why I’ve gathered a few of my favorite pumpkin items that lend all the fall flavor I could need without a single speck of food.

Staub’s classic cocottes get a fabulously fall makeover as White Mini Pumpkins ($20-25, surlatable.com). Serve your favorite fall soups and stews in them, or use them as place setting decorations.

Give your living room or covered porch an instant autumn update with these Harvest Pumpkin Appliquéd Pillow Covers from Pottery Barn ($50, potterybarn.com). The great thing about season pillow covers is how easily you can swap them out and completely change the mood of your room.

Selfishly, this black cat-pumpkin decorating kit ($3, target.com) is on this list entirely because I have a black cat and really want to make one of these so I can pose the two side by side for an adorable photo.

Your bread doesn’t have to be pumpkin flavored for it to be pumpkin inspired. Nordic Ware’s Elegant Pumpkin Loaf Pan ($33-45, williams-sonoma.com) lends a touch of fall to any quick bread you want to make. The coordinating Cakelet Pans ($37-49, williams-sonoma.com) are equally great for fall time gatherings.

Summer’s tapped watermelons are giving way to fall’s Pumpkin Kegs ($20 for the tapping kit, urbanoutfitters.com). You’ll need a tempting tipple to serve from your pumpkin pourer, so check out our 5 Sips to Enjoy on a Crisp Fall Night.
