Organicgirl's Pea Shoot mix is eager to be the yummy base for your next salad.

Organicgirl’s Pea Shoot mix is eager to be the yummy base for your next salad.

We’re all suckers for salads around here. And we’ve got a few lettuce snobs on staff, too (myself included). So we were pretty skeptical when organicgirl‘s latest mix arrived at the office. Capitalizing on the trend of tender, fresh pea shoots, this mix is exactly that: pea shoots mixed with baby romaine, baby bok choy, and other equally adorable sounding small green leaves.

Here's what the mix looks like on store shelves.

What did tasters have to say?

“I LOVE this! It has that earthy taste of microgreens plucked right out of my garden.”

“The pea flavor gets a thumbs up. This is a great idea.”

“It’s great to see shoots easily accessible at the market.”

“This mix would be a great starting point for a really different salad.”

“I love how much protein [5 grams per serving] these greens contain!”

We had the tasting panel top their shoots with a few of the brand’s newer dressing options, and the clear winner was the White Cheddar flavor, which tasters remarked tastes “like ranch dressing just got a lot tastier!”
