Sweet Surprise: Send a Message on a Pie

November 24, 2015 | By | Comments (4)

We spent some time finding the perfect way to top your pie and picked a few of our favorites. Turn dessert into a work of art with these cute, festive, and fun ideas!

After plenty of testing (and pie-eating), we have discovered the best way to send a message is on a pumpkin pie. The filling holds up well and is very forgiving when you’re trying to arrange your letters ever so carefully.

Find a font you like online and type a word you’d like to have on your pie. Once you print it out, cut carefully around the edges and lay on your rolled out dough. Use a paring knife, cut around the letters. Those letters can then be baked at 350° for 10 minutes in the oven. If you’ve greased your pan enough the letters should easily come off and you can place them on your cooked Pumpkin Pie, ready to be served.
