Love the idea of whipping up flaky, buttery biscuits on a weekend morning? Speed up the process with this simple biscuit mix that you can prepare ahead and keep on hand. With only four ingredients, not only does it come together quickly, but its simplicity is a plus compared to pre-packaged mixes with unpronounceable ingredients.

• 45 ounces all-purpose flour (about 10 1⁄2 cups)
• 1/4 cup baking powder
• 2 teaspoons salt
• 1 teaspoon baking soda

1. Weigh or lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups; level with a knife. Combine flour and remaining ingredients in a large bowl, stirring well with a whisk.

Note: This recipe yields 10 3/4 cups of mix—enough to make four batches of Buttermilk Biscuits. Store in an airtight container in the pantry for up to 6 months.
